Salesforce Flow has historically been something that sits firmly within the Salesforce CRM world. It’s typically been used by Salesforce admins and operations teams to automate internal processes, update records, route leads and connect different parts of the CRM together.
As Salesforce moves more marketing capability onto the core platform, that is beginning to change. Flow is becoming increasingly important to marketers too, particularly for organisations looking towards Marketing Cloud Next, where understanding how Salesforce automation works becomes much more relevant to campaign and journey orchestration.
This three hour workshop is designed to help marketing teams build that foundation before making the move to Marketing Cloud Next. We’ll explore where Flow sits within the wider Salesforce ecosystem, how different types of Flow work, and how triggers, decisions, actions and Salesforce data come together to automate a process.
We’ll then get hands on in Flow Builder, creating and testing practical examples before looking at how those same concepts translate into Marketing Cloud Next. Rather than training participants to become Salesforce admins, the focus is on giving marketers the knowledge and confidence they’ll need as Flow becomes a more important part of the marketing technology landscape.
We believe remote learning should be active, not passive. That's why we've moved beyond the limitations of standard video conferencing tools.

Total Live Session Time: 3 hours
This is not a lecture! During the masterclass, we’ll get hands on with Salesforce Flow, explore how automation works across the wider Salesforce ecosystem, and build practical examples together in Flow Builder. We’ll then look at why these skills are becoming increasingly important for marketing teams as Salesforce moves towards Marketing Cloud Next. The masterclass will be broken up into three sections:
Module 1: Understanding Salesforce Flow
We’ll start by looking at where Flow sits within the Salesforce ecosystem and how it has traditionally been used within Salesforce CRM. Participants will explore how Flows are triggered, how they interact with Salesforce data, and the building blocks that allow processes to be automated across the platform.
Topics include:
Module 2: Building & Testing Salesforce Flows
Next, we’ll move into Flow Builder and start putting those concepts into practice. Participants will work through practical use cases, build automation themselves and explore how data, logic and actions come together within a working Flow.
Topics include:
Module 3: Flows & Marketing Cloud Next
Finally, we’ll bring everything back to marketing. Participants will explore how Flows become part of the marketing automation landscape in Marketing Cloud Next, how the concepts we’ve worked with translate into campaigns and customer journeys, and why Flows capability should be considered as part of any organisation’s MCN readiness.
